Getting to Sarajevo

Direct Flights from UK & Europe (Season 25/26)

The cheapest way to fly to directly to Sarajevo from UK and major European cities is via low cost airline RyanAir. Flights during the winter season 2025/2026 go low as of 39.99 EUR.

For guests flying from UK, our recommended option to consider is to fly in and out of Sarajevo on Saturday by RyanAir and do a week long Sarajevo ski holiday with 6 nights at Jahorina and possibly one night in Sarajevo city.

For other European cities (via connection) the best airlines to use are Austrian Airlines (via Vienna), Croatia Airlines (via Zagreb), and Lufthansa (via Frankfurt).

Arriving to Sarajevo from Dubrovnik (Croatia)

For groups of 6 or more, we can meet the direct flights to Dubrovnik that depart from London Gatwick with British Airways. Please note, these flights are usually run by BA over Christmas, New Year and UK half-term period onwards (in February, March and April). They do not always fly in January so please check beforehand.

Arriving from Bosnian neighbouring countries

If you are travelling in the Balkan region, you can also take buses to Sarajevo from cities such as Belgrade and Novi Sad (Serbia), Zagreb, Split or Dubrovnik (Croatia) or Podgorica (Montenegro).

Alternatively we can provide private transfers on request from any of the Balkan destinations.

Our week in Bosnia was a complete contrast. Most was on a mountain in Jahorina, one of the nicest little ski resorts we’ve been to. In terms of travelling this was definitely the easiest ski resort we’ve been to – 3 hrs flying (including the quickest transfer ever in Vienna) then a 25 minute transfer to our flat on the mountain.
