For a family, nothing beats this excellent 2-bedroom chalet apartment. It features a fully fitted kitchen (4-ring electric hob, dishwasher, fridge ), a lounge, dining area, 2 bedrooms (1 double bedroom and 1 room with 3 single beds – bunk-bed style) and bathroom.
The lounge area boasts a proper wood-burning fireplace (wood provided), TV and wi-fi. Guests at this chalet apartment can also use the facilities at a nearby 4-star hotel only 25 metres away, including meals, pool and wellness centre.

Cannot Fault Ski Sarajevo / Funky Tours
Having never been to Bosnia before let alone been skiing in the country, we decided to use Ski-Sarajevo ltd, a family run business, to organise our holiday to Jahorina.
In brief the whole trip was seamless from start to finish. Ski-Sarajevo organised our transfers to and from the mountain, as well as recommending and booking our ‘Apartment Hotel Monterra’ which was first class. Even ski hire and passes were organised.
We were treated like long lost friends, with a 5 star service and there was nothing that wasn’t too much bother. Half way through our 5 day stay in Bosnia we decided to do the ‘Sarajevo War Tour’. After a call to the office, the tour was organised without a moment’s hesitation and we had the most fascinating day, finishing off with a visit to Sarajevo old town for a coffee and reflection.
I would whole heartedly recommend Ski-Sarajevo as a company to organise your visit to Bosnia whether it is skiing or something else. Out of interest Ski-Sarajevo Ltd is a part of the Funky Tours Group, a popular tour company for the Balkans region.

Absolutely Fantastic
The whole process of booking with ski sarajevo was incredibly smooth and efficient. Having never travelled to Bosnia we had a lot of questions, which were all quickly answered by Skender via email.
On arrival at the airport we were greeted by Alem where the 5* service continued. He drove us up to Jahorina, helped us check in to our apartment, get our lift passes and ski hire and made sure we had everything we possibly needed before leaving.
We showed interest in learning some of Bosnia’s history and they kindly organised a tour for us on the Thursday of our holiday through their sister company Funky Tours. I would highly recommend adding this on to your holiday.
Ski sarajevo go above and beyond on their customer service, they really are top class.

We booked a ski holiday with Ski Sarajevo after seeing the resort featured on a C4 travel programme and we’re so glad that we did!
Before we departed, having not skied before, Graeme from Ski Sarajevo was knowledgeable and reassuring, answering our many questions before we travelled!
On arrival at the airport we were given a warm and friendly welcome by Mustafa and the other Ski Sarajevo representatives.
On the mountain, Mustafa showed us to our accommodation and gave us a brief tour of the main centre (supermarkets, restaurants) before introducing us to our ski instructors and helping us get kitted out with skis and boots.
Mustafa suggested we exchange numbers and kept in touch throughout our stay. He went above and beyond, even going to a supermarket in the city to buy something for us that wasn’t available on the mountain.
Our apartment (Gold – 2 Bed) was in a lovely complex near the main piste. It was modern, well equipped (WiFi, TV, under floor heating) and had a warm and cosy log fire – everything you need to retreat to after a day on the mountain. The photos don’t do it justice!
We booked daily 2 hour ski lessons together as a family rather than booking our 6yo into ski school and having lessons as adults separately.
As beginners we wanted to learn, laugh and celebrate our accomplishments together and we certainly did! Due to circumstances beyond the instructors control, unfortunately for the first two days we had different instructors however on the third day we were introduced to Zoran and he was our instructor for the rest of the week.
Zoran was a wonderful instructor who encouraged, reassured and built our skills and confidence with warmth, compassion and humour! We’ll never forget that he taught our family to ski. We couldn’t recommend him enough and I’d make sure to have lessons with him in the future.
We booked a night in Sarajevo city as part of the package and booked a fascinating tour with Mustafa. We loved exploring the city as well, albeit briefly.
We had an unforgettable holiday from start to finish and felt fortunate to have visited such a wonderful place.
We will go back, hopefully next year.
